Lottie you are a blithering idiot, what have you done? Today's comic is based on a real event when I idly pressed some buttons that I should not have ought to. I was proficient at accidentally triggering alarms in my youth. It takes a blithering idiot to know a blithering idiot.

SPACE DINOSAUR AND A REQUEST
I've designed a new shirt, it was a dippy drawing I did on request that a lot of people liked. That was how I designed things in 2003!

Hm yes these are some serious sneaks going down in the last few episodes. Who is the mysterious Crozier? My thoughts are that he is an old hunter, a master of the beast chasing game. I still don't really understand how Jesper Bloem is so rich or exactly who his Pakistani attaché is, I am feeling my way through their peculiar relationship.

I think this was my favourite comic that I drew last week. Sergeant of sneaks! Sensitive ears! Yes, a good one. Well done me.

Today's comic features a beast widdling and that is all there is to say about that.

This was a fun one to draw, I love drawing Pepper, he has a great little face. Panel two took a couple of attempts though. I had to have a brief lay down on a cold linoleum floor to get my brainwaves in order.

Once a week someone will write to bewail that there are no comics on Friday. In fact, I produce a surfeit of bonus material throughout the week - like the comic below, which appeared on my blog.

The more comics I do with the "new" Erin Winters, the more inscrutable she seems. But one thing is clear from her body language, she is not "into" the overtures of Jesper Bloem. Especially when they seem to tangentially refer to Clubber Lang's dialogue from Rocky III.

Now I don't know about you, but that PHOOT sounds like "liquid tranquility" to me. You can't catch a giant Australian wolf-boy with fly paper; you shouldn't even try.

The boys have made some bad decisions in this comic, but are not bad decisions the making of the man? You only learn from your mistakes, and this appears to be quite a bad one.

Brian Bunny is a truly revolting little specimen. I would like you to picture him as threadbare, with one eye. It is probably going to a boil wash to completely get the impetigo out of him (don't look up impetigo if you don't know what it is). Brian is much loved and it is a great sacrifice by Cecile, do not underplay her commitment to the cause. See you on Monday!

The difficult with the first three comics this week was that there was a lot going on off-panel, for mystery's sake! When you chop these pages up into daily nuggets though, they just seem a bit unclear. I hope you will be patient with me.

Ah yes, bombus bombus, the common dog. It's good to have a naturalist in the cast, bringing a stiff backbone of hard scientific fact to the writing.

Jesper Bloem really is a wrong 'un, isn't he? At least Mr Beckwith is enjoying himself. Next week's comics are heavy on intrigue, I think you will enjoy them. See you then.

Taxidermy IS a noble art, but I'm not sure that the same goes for blowing poor critters away with your blunderbuss. Maybe Jesper Bloem will change all our minds!

Is boring sensible? Is sensible boring? Who is that short, stocky man with a circle beard? Does Miss Perks have a big old crush on Mr Beckwith? The answer to some or none of those questions is "yes".

There are an awful lot of ideas in today's comic. There's a lot going on. You just have to roll with it for as long as you're comfortable doing so.
