I hate to tell you this, but ref 6 Music, it’s almost certainly not a pre-record as such – it will have been voice tracked. The presenter only records the inserts but tells the music where to overlap, rather than doing it “as live”. I’m told that a presenter can voice track a five hour show in less than an hour.
