The chapter comes to an end and alas, intrigue has reared its ugly head once more! It seems to me that you will have to return for the next story, HULL OR HIGH WATER, to find out Glenn’s ultimate fate!

The friends are reunited as their legal troubles cease to bubble and slip down back into the cracks in the pavement. Poor Claire needs a rest, but as is so often the case, as she sinks, Lottie is on the up, and the slack can be taken up.

Giant Days #26 concerns Dean’s girlfriend and her demands upon him. It’s a classic issue with some really egregious outfits and several sequences set in a MMORPG. It’s collected in volume 7, or Library Edition/Not On The Test 4.

For all Dean’s bad personality problems, he has a genuine fondness for Glenn. He will not let him founder.

Mikey’s always there when Claire needs him. He’s a minuteman, in a constant state of alert.

Claire’s history as a firebug is well established in The Case Of The Simple Soul. Sonny works it out at the end of the story, and tells the other mystery boys (who don’t believe him). But I have always worked on the assumption that Lottie knows (because Sonny will have told her too, or told Mildred). I didn’t used to declare things as clearly as I do now; put it down to being pinned to the wall in the comments day-in-day-out. What we have gained in narrative clarity, I have lost in sanity.

I spent a lot of time thinking about who Dean’s favourite YouTuber would be. Someone full of the sunny optimism he lacks, who spends a lot of time cleaning up decrepit soldering. A bright young thing! Fortunately the algorithm had already shown me the answer. I am sure someone will work out who she is in the comments.

ZambianOS is a very seductive interface, isn’t it? I have to iterate it once a year with new features, it gets quite tiring.
