I’m a Brit but I’ve got a couple of old American books. One is a 1971 United States Air Force book called Fundamentals of Astrodynamics and another one from 1963 called Navigation and Guidance in Space. They have a wonderful collection of units. One of the books in various places uses centimeters, feet, miles, nautical miles and kilometers. It’s a wonder they actually reached the moon.
