My impression is that Lottie has something of a blind spot when it comes to Claire’s more dangerous side. To this day, I don’t think she has any idea that Claire used to burn down old barns when she was younger, for example. I think at most she occasionally gets an inkling that she was be slightly underestimating Claire in some ways.
