This reminds me of a truly splendid DIY video I saw last year. The guy uses a nail gun to attach a small battery to a fence post and then tries to dislodge it by shooting more nails. The battery starts to smoke so he beats it with the nail gun. It falls into a pile of dry leaves. He picks it up barehanded and is surprised when it feels very hot. He makes a few more attempts to pick the still smoking battery up, succeeds, and holds it while telling us how it’s all the battery’s fault. Then he throws it away into, yes, dry leaves.
