As an islander (that island being Britane) every ferry trip I have taken (except one on Windermere and maybe one across a river in … I want to say Devon) has been ‘at sea’ whether to France, to a smaller, Scottish island, to the Republic of Ireland, or to the Isle of Man. We go on lots of ferries and while generally the seas involved are not vast and heaving, they are definitely seas.
