I apologise for any artistic or storytelling deficits in this comic vignette. I’d been out of commission for months. I did my best.

Should still call her that anyways. spice things up.
The more the merrier!
John, it looks like two words got transposed in the second narration box of the first panel. “The guys got who” rather than “The guys who got.”
Nono. John’s using German grammar here. To emphasise in how much trouble the guys were.
Or, maybe its a test for AI scrape-o-bots…
To be fair, I don’t think Karl’s HIS name, either.
“So tell me, when did you stop beating your wife Karl?”
Hard to believe Karl can beat Susan in arm wrestling. She probably let him win. This is starting to feel like a set-up to catch a cheating husband in the act… Susan has a second job as a detective!
I like this theory!
Interesting that she knows that he has a wife. That doesn’t seem like the kind of thing you’d bring up to a potential hookup, and he didn’t have a wedding ring on in the prior panels.
Something tells me that this wasn’t just a chance encounter for Susan.
She doesn’t necessarily know it. She just has a kind of worldly wisdom.
gazing and smiling across a bar? talking for hours on a moonlit night? no, susan and karl know how to do it right: arm wrestle.
genuinely tho that made me grin, really rad character moment.
Karl’s a smooth operator. Smooth. Operator.
Slick way to find out if he’s married there Susan. What is hilarious is that is exactly what/how I asked my eventual wife many years ago (except is was “what does your husband think about you having to work late nights”)
Why, John! One might think panel 3 is a deft foreshadowing of sexual tension, of bodies seeking each other in a tangle of sweaty sheets, of (has to stop and wipe fog off glasses)
The second half of Panel 1 is pretty relatable. I’ve also pushed cars, though not any electric cars so far. And maybe only a couple dozen feet at a time, but still…
Definitely easier to move just wheels, though, regardless of colour.
Ugh, comments are back, and all I can say is 10/10 – No notes.
Karl, or whatever his real name is, is left handed and either very sharp and playing along or easily dulled by alcohol
Susan is fueled by alcohol…
Who was the newsman at Shelly’s old paper gig? The one who went gonzo at the Tackleford fair and was impaled by a giant bee. I thought at first he’s Karl.
That’s Mike Savage, who’s currently Lottie’s step-dad.
I like that Susan’s teeth are often a bunch of pointed jags instead of just regular teeth, it makes her look like a shark.
Doesn’t he look like Mayor (of Tackleford of old?)?
Also – Susan!! You have fallen low!!
