I do have this issue on my Galaxy S21+ phone, but the simple workaround is to hit ‘Prev” and then hit ‘Next’, and then zoom works just fine. It looks like zoom is enabled on the specific comic pages (where the URL includes the name of the comic), but not on the home page.
