[ADDENDUM APRIL 2024] I wrote “to be continued” at the end of this and scripted a second part in 2022 but found it beyond my skill to draw. Hard to explain without you seeing it, so I put the whole 32-page rough version up on Patreon. I think the original NEMS was a product of the intense focus of the pandemic lockdown and by the time I got to part 2, I wasn’t up to it. Tough years! I’ve now unlocked these posts.

WHEN I DIDN’T MAKE NEMS PART 2 (part 2)
In-depth commentary and explanation
Wicked Things is over for now (you can catch up on comiXology) but Charlotte Grote is not going to be stopped. While the case of Kendo Miyamoto must remain in the aether until Max Sarin and I can pick it up again, there’s plenty for Lottie to be getting on with as she returns to Tackleford to ponder her next move.
Lottie has risen from the floor, she’s literally “on the up” and I believe this trajectory can continue.
ITEM! If you missed Lottie’s mini-series at Boom, WICKED THINGS, you can read it at Comixology – the first 4 issues are currently 79p/99¢ each.
Just to note, Mildred did not nick that car. It is her personal “smoker”. Mildred nicking a car only only happened once, years ago, and it was very necessary.
This one took a long time, I thought it was going to be easy, which only made it worse. Eagle-eyed readers will recognise Jack from bad Machinery’s father. About six eagle-eyed readers in total, I would imagine.
Behind the curve on love
Whether in her six-armed form or more conventional two-arm mode, Lottie is an intimidating prospect for any potential paramour.
Some familiar faces lurking around the fringes of today’s comic! Could they be involved in this mystery???!!!!!
No.
