NEW SERIES IN APRIL!
I have a new limited series coming from Dark Horse Comics in April, a four-parter entitled THE GREAT BRITISH BUMP OFF. It’s another collaboration with regular partners in crime Max Sarin (GIANT DAYS, WICKED THINGS) and Steeple colourist Sammy Borras. It features the return of Shauna Wickle to sleuthing, and takes place at an almost completely unrecognisable TV baking competition.
Here’s the cover art – you can pre-order it from your local comic shop, and I urge you to do so because this is a good one. Due April!
(Also, please tell your friends, because launching an indie series into the direct market in 2023 is a parlous affair. Word of mouth is everything!)
Any questions, stick ’em in the comments!
A Shauna series! OMG mate!
I’d tell my friends if I had any.
Your work always has many layers, John.
Yay!
Is there a nice and simple way to just order this so it’ll be sent to me? I had a look on various comic shop websites and it’s all very confusing. (I don’t go near a comic shop ever, these days.)
Forbidden Planet is the easiest to order from and ensure you get them all – their pricing is the keenest too. It’s not listed there yet. When it is, I’ll put some links up.
OK Comics in Leeds have it listed

I’m all in on this.
Forbidden Planet has a listing:

Chibi Captain Marvel
I am so unbelievably excited for this. Shauna is my favorite character and after being absent all these years she’s returned with a whole special solo series! 2023 looking up.
Can you preorder digital? No comics shops nearby and ordering from ttfaw seems wasteful (Live in Continental Yrp)
You probably can – direct from darkhorse.com I think. If you want a paper copy from yerp you could order from Forbiddenplanet.com in the UK
The only thing of yours available on digital.darkhorse is Steeple so I dropped them a line inquiring about it.
For those in the States the TPB for this will be out in Nov and we can get it through bookshop.org. Which will let it be delivered to a local book shop to you.
November? :,( Still, better late than never…
So very excited about this. I managed to get a preorder on the series in with my LCBS, despite their very particular time window requirements for getting subscription (typically 2 or 3 months in advance, depending on the vagaries of publisher list schedules)
