The Bad Machinery site has had a major spruce-up. I’ve been working on this for ages. AGES. There are a few story banners still to design but I’ll get to them. Hopefully everything works, but I’m bound to have messed up somewhere. I was finally able to discard the ancient ComicPress theme, and I’ve done my best to make things as easy to use as possible. I’ll keep an eye out for anything that immediately collapses.

Looks smashing.
Wowwwwwwwww
Really nice to see this also apply the links from the Scary Go Round website
looks great. would love to have comic panels in the RSS feed again.
WordPress generates the feed, sorry Nik, I have next to no control over it. You’ll have to visit my soggy old website.
I’m still getting the full comic in my RSS (always click through though, it’s the responsible thing to do.)
I can pinch zoom again! My sainted aunt!
So far, so good. I like the layout. I hope the banner-design work is a fun activity.
Bloody hell, it’s classed up a bit round yur.
I like it. Always here for a serif.
It turned me into a newt, but I got better
Something a little odd happens when you link to a Page 45 search result – all the links on the resultant page use “badmachinery.com” as their base href which breaks them. Seems to be some flaw in Page 45’s server-side code.
Found a workaround – give it another go! I can’t replicate the original fault but this is the new link:
https://www.page45.com/store/Bad-Machinery.html

So pretty!! You just might singlehandedly bring serif fonts back to the web.
fantastic! Thanks for all your work on this, it can’t have been the hugest of fun.
I like it! Hopefully, it will be less buggy & easier for you to maintain.
Looks fantastic! Thank you for the
great work 🙂
It is fantastic and I am reading Bad Machinery again when I should be doing important work. Thank you.
I there any way we can get the ability to put comments under each comic back? Reading them was a big part of each episode and I miss them! Or am I being stupid and something is stopping me from seeing/posting?
No plans to bring back comments under the comics, sorry.
If doing this reduces your stress level we entirely understand and respect your judgement – this is your playground after all. Having said that, it was a lot of fun while it lasted. One of my proudest moments, and thankfully I took a screenshot of it, was when I received a virtual two-thumbs up from you for a fairly random comment from me many moons ago. Even without the option for feedback I will look forward to every update.
Thanks, my stress, and also stress on the site itself alas – the busy comments were close to requiring an expensive upgrade to my hosting, the site was slowing down badly.
Thanks for letting me know, I thought I was jut being randomly stupid. I never considered that there might be a cost issue and I know that the streets of Tackleford are not paved with gold. Enjoyed it while it lasted and wish more power to your drawing elbow!
Yep agreed, RIP to a real one (SGR comments section) – it was fun hanging out with you all there the past several years! Some of my best casually tossed off material. And what will become of ronald?!
Fair play though John – new site looks great.
I do worry about Ronald.
He’ll be wandering around whatever town he lives in in a confused daze, pointedly asking bus drivers a) why they stopped for 5 minutes back there and b) why they’re a different driver than was sitting there when he got on, then demanding of passing schoolchildren to know why they’re taller than he remembers and now have a different haircut.
