I became very fond of Bea while writing and drawing this chapter. She’s a perfect mystery friend. Well, almost perfect.

The videos I had to watch about t-bar ski lifts while drawing this page. I could feel my life ebbing away. But boy, I came away “informed”.

Claire is a kind soul who has space in her heart for anyone even slightly deserving. This is a rare misfire for her charm school.
