We’re on board
Lottie and Claire are in their own way just as (if not more so) intimidating as Cathey, but it’s important to emphasise: at heart they’re extremely nice people. You’d like them if you knew them.

It hits me, right at this moment, just how amazingly courageous Glenn actually is. When the whole world is scary (which, face it, it is) it takes immense courage to do anything, and Glenn has actually dealt with some situations that anyone would consider dangerous. Cathey, apparently, is simply even MORE terrifying to Glenn.
That phone – ‘Z’ for ‘Zambian,’ or ‘N’ for ‘Nemulon?’
Heh. Eye see what you mean.
It’s a Z for now, but in 10 days it’ll become an N.
SOMEBODY is scanning the calendar for clues
Yes.
Is there a small chance that Glenn has the last working Microsoft Zune?
I think Lottie and Claire are intimidating outwardly but in the right deep down. I think while Cathey is outwardly nice, she seems to have an obsessive personality that revolves around the idea of her and Glenn being a perfect couple which in turn makes her possessive and controlling.
It’s funny how we all think we know exactly what sort of person Cathey is when we haven’t actually met her yet. (Remember when Bob Warren first appeared in Steeple, and we all instantly thought we knew exactly what sort of person he was after like one panel without that much dialog? Come to think of it, we were all absolutely right about Bob. Hmm…)
All we really “know” about Cathey is how she’s perceived by Glenn.
Which could be 100% accurate.
Or not.
It’s a “Z” in Portrait, “N” in landscape.
They’re right good laughs, if you will
Once you get to know them….
I’m scared of Lottie and Claire, and I know they are fictional. Ghlorfm didn’t stand a chance.
I came to post almost that exact sentence
Like the one you know, it’s the new Love the one you’re with
It’s probably Cathey’s first big OE
She’ll probably be overtaken by new places and people and probably meet someone she’d rather be with than G#@&*
…probably
Cathey + Bobby Problems OTP
They’ll meet at the Hague, and confess their love for each other just before Bobby gets shot. A real tearjerker.
And Cathey blames Lottie, Claire and Glorm and swears bloody vengeance on all three. Maybe even form and unholy alliance with Beate.
“Well, to be fair, Cathey was kind of horrible, but I don’t think I ever literally faced death when I was with her.”
“And Death had your face, Lottie.”
A line for the ages.
That’s what happens when you sell your features to a plastic surgery catalogue.
Man, NATO is scared of Lottie. Putin himself would reroute a flight to avoid her airspace. Batman doesn’t have a plan to counter her.
Heck, Batman worked WITH Lottie, sorta! (If I remembered that story correctly)
Lottie wasn’t in that story.
Esther was the femme fatale in that tale.
This is the most I’ve identified with Glenn since we first met him, and it’s a LOT.
Same here.
Glenn is such a good guy. So deep and human, it’s impossible to dislike him. Can’t wait to know more about his past and, despite what Lottie just said, to see him meeting Catheey again.
Sea Mentile seems to be several orders worse than Bat Mentile
Have we talked about seamentia yet?
Well, there IS that much more sea to go around…
Wait, are you saying they DON’T know me?
In the real world, he would get anti anxiety meds and start counseling. In this world, his fear is about to be… Solved.
Would he, though?
Well it would be what he should do
I’m afraid Glenn has not enough money for a therapist/psychiatric.
Luckily, Glerm lives in the UK, where that sort of thing is free at point of service for those who need it.
Poor Glem
I’m looking forward to seeing Cathey NOT through Glam’s eyes.
That might not happen. Just like in Frasier, we never really got to see Niles’ wife Maris.
Lottie, how has someone with your vaunted detective skills not noticed the deer-in-the-headlights look Golan gets whenever you enter the room? Has association with Jack led you to believe that that’s just boys’ default expression?
Now see, this is why, even before Glem/Claire, I never got in on the Glegg/Lottie ship. As Lord Ickenham said to his nephew Pongo, “To cope with flashing eyes, you have to be a man of steel and ginger. Are you a man of steel and ginger? No.” And the same is true of our Glorm.
Or, as Jack Finch said to Mildred’s cousin Sonny, “Can you imagine going out with Lottie. I think it would end a man.”
