The top half of this page was another bit of filler from the print version. Looking at it now, I could have given it a bit more, but time was inevitably the enemy back then. First thought best thought! Better than constant creative paralysis, the opposite reaction.


I assume Sugar Horse cereal has marshmallows… that contain gelatin.

Just like nobody knows what the secret ingredient is in Coca-Cola but, unrelatedly, the Coca-Cola Company is the only company in the US with a licence to import coca leaves, nobody knows what the secret ingredient in Sugar Horse ceral is but, unrelatedly, the Sugar Horse Cereal Company does have a licence to produce heroin.
It’s OK though, because it’s horse heroin. Perfectly legal.
For a minute I thought maybe Polly was the same person as Polly the temp worker from Bobbins, who worked as Shelly’s replacement while Shelly was working in Special Projects. (https://scarygoround.com/bobbins/?pg=243) but when I looked it up, they are almost certainly different people who just happen to have the same first name.
