It’s difficult to describe how pleased I was when I came up with Lottie popping out of the laundry basket. I’m always delighted when I can deliver a new kind of emergence. There’s a recent NEMS comic where Esther emerges from some zig-zag curtains. I had that one on the back burner for a while.
Lottie in the laundry is delightful.
Minty seems to have been a bit less delighted about it than we.
As Lottie appearances go, “emerging from your laundry hamper” seems more unsettling than “waking up with a hangover to find her looming over you, informing you that it is ‘getting up time'”, or “waking up for a nice weekend to find her sitting in your room, reading a newspaper“.
Agreed. I took a moment to consider the plausibility of this. Conclusion: it tracks.
