Get a perm
Lottie has risen from the floor, she’s literally “on the up” and I believe this trajectory can continue.
ITEM! If you missed Lottie’s mini-series at Boom, WICKED THINGS, you can read it at Comixology – the first 4 issues are currently 79p/99¢ each.
I love the details on this page, especially the Dennis Franz poster! 😀
hoping we get to learn more about prosecco time bbz
All you need to know is that Lottie pronounces it “pro-hecho”
Pepper is so adorable c:
Is that a Garfeld on her shelf?

where did mildred and lottie’s relationship leave off?
In Wicked Things she said that at some point, her other friends start to be less interested in mysteries and justice.
I take it Wicked Things is only in print?
If so, is there somewhere I could read a summary of what happened?
You can read it on ComiXology, the first four issues are deeply discounted to 79p!

The only thing I dislike about reading Mr. Allison’s works via “the funny books” is the lack of comments for each page.
Perhaps something using Post-It Notes technology could be looked at?
I wanted a letters page!
A letter page for each page?!
Mr. Allison, even *I* find that a touch excessive.
Though, if it doesn’t just double the price…

The burns, the sick burns in these comics, they keep me coming back.
Mildred always has a word for her friends ♡. Not necessarily a nice word, but very true. I think “Both” is the best choice.
Ah, the greatest mystery of all, the perm and/or Lottie’s lovelife and/or that mug
The mystery is what that thing growing in the mug is.
I love that Lottie is a Threedom fan. I have been listening to the show nonstop for months.
He’s looking for someone, he’s looking for someone, he’s looking for someone – helicopter.
PEPPER
The Clearing of the Soiled Mugs is one of the pivotal moments in any successful recovery from a sustained funk.
Mildred wasn’t an easy character to figure out when she was younger; now maybe we can see a bit more of her “core” personality. She does seem to have set aside the tissue thing. Heh.
I suspect she’s still a mad nutter.
I always felt I had a good sense of who Mildred was. Extremely intelligent, but often having poor judgement (not the same thing as intelligent), she enjoyed causing chaos and playing mind-games with people and was probably a bit less “morally good” than her friends, but underneath it all she had a strong sense, not so much of “right and wrong” as of “fairness and unfairness”, which could inspire her to become a fierce crusader when something struck her as particularly unfair. At least, that’s how I always saw her.
Very good read, fully agree. Mildred was perhaps my favourite of the mystery kids because she was always a little unpredictable and always a little nuts.
Is there a static URL I can bookmark for the latest page?
badmachinery.com
Thanks. I thought I had that, but on closer inspection my “Bad Machinery” link turned out to be going to scarygoround…
Is that a Len poster? Is it signed?
Everyone looks a little unhealthy in this. I think it’s the red eyes.
