A buy-to-let opportunity
When did we last discuss Homes Under The Hammer? Have we ever discussed Homes Under The Hammer? When I had Covid, early in its popularity, spring 2020, and spent a few days hovering close to death†, drifting in and out of consciousness on the sofa, all I could do was watch Martin, Dion and Martel. They were my Florence Nightingales. Since then, the show has been polluted with new, ancillary, hosts and I do not approve.
I look forward to reading comments from readers who watched the episode of H.U.T.H linked above when it aired, or just today.
† YMMV
I’m afraid I had not previously heard of, much less seen, H.U.T.H. I do have a question about your statement above, though, John: did you mean early in the popularity of the TV show, or early in COVID’s popularity?
Also, typing H.U.T.H. makes me think of R.U.T.H., an old song that got a bit of a boost in popularity last year.
Didn’t Go-Kart Conspiracy perform “Homes Under The Hammer” on-strip at Peggy’s baby shower?
SO MANY HAMMERS, SO MANY HOMES!
Sequel: 2 HOMES, 2 HAMMER
First ever ex-Celtic player to get a menchy in the Scary-verse, what a beautiful day.
You’d think ol’ Henke might have got a mention some time, or Gil Heron, Sr.
That lad Colm might have got a trial at some point I suppose…
I am so intrigued by this lad whose eyes I cannot see behind his glasses
Same here. I like the way he thinks. Almost on par with Lottie as far as K-Pop goes.
I don’t know much about the Danger Of Love, but never forget, we did it all for the Glory Of Love.
This is legit one of my favorite songs. Good pop song, up there with things like “Always something there to remind me”
The entire Karate Kid II experience will live rent-free in my heart until the end of time.
The video isn’t available, because the account has been terminated.
I have to admit, I like Gizmo a lot. He has stile, is able to help his friends calm down and think and seems really good with lyrics. Can’t wait to know better even the others components of the group.
When you have a novel disease, you are always close to death, until you know for sure you were not close to death (just closer than normal.) Sometimes when I get an injury of some unusual internal sort, I’m convinced I will wane into permanent disability. But.. It WILL happen one day, my friends, et in Arcadia ego after all.
The attention paid here to shirt collars and plackets has gone neither unnoticed nor unappreciated.
Same here. I like the way he thinks. Almost on par with Lottie as far as K-Pop goes.
This must be what it would have been like to be in the room with Lennon and McCartney when the magic happened. To a degree, anyway.
For certain values of “magic”.
Just last weekend Martin was on Saturday Kitchen discussing the 20th anniversary of HUTH, truly we are blessed (with endless repeats).
Dion Dublin. Property market bubblin’
Forgive me, time catches up with us all and my memory is not what it was. Did we ever see the Go Kart Conspiracy perform on panel in a previous project?
Yes, in the Hard Yards story (pt 3), at baby Peggy’s party. I’ve stuck a pic in the under-comic notes.
Thank you!
Now you’re making me want to come up with the actual song
This whole story feels like a backdoor pilot for a D-Slide series.
Waiting for a spark of intellect to enter that boy’s mind(Nero, I mean). Close… Close, kid. Something in there rattling around.
Are we going to see a performance of Military Men, or am I going to have to imagine the rest of those lyrics?
They are the K-pop reincarnation of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich.
This is a marvelous updating of that “stay up late” brainstorming session in Singing in the Rain. I look forward to Lottie tap-dancing
Was there an oblique reference to Yard Act in panel 3?
