Lottie has been a proud puffer exponent since the very start of Bad Machinery and that is not going to change. Her sister Sarah’s career in fashion has, I think, been tangentially mentioned a number of times, but don’t ask me where because I don’t remember. I do recall that “in fashion” was a euphemism for “in prison” in one of the later Bad Machinery stories… but Sarah is definitely not in prison.
Glenn is sentimental about his clicker?
I suspend all previous judgements about the man. Between this and yesterday’s enthusiasm for PowerPoint colour palettes, Glenn’s my kinda guy.

PowerPoint is a useful aid for verbal storytelling. The trick is to put as little effort into the slides as possible, and if possible to use them to tell lies. Statistics? Make them up. They’re decoration.

Eeek! Mini-chibi appearance! What does it mean?!
Ooh! Well spotted! Is someone keeping track? Is this the… 4th appearance of Chibigrote? The 5th? Somewhere around there, I think.
Okay, I’ve found 4 appearances of MiniLottie so far (there may be others). The first was 2 panels, the rest have been a single panel each. The three commonalities I notice are:
1. Lottie’s with Glenn each time
2. Claire is never around
3. Lottie’s trying to work something out each time
Any or all of these could be significant, or mere coincidence.
I concur with your count of the appearances. For others’ reference the ones I found are as follows (dates and titles instead of links, as I suspect this comment will be flagged for moderation if I include all the links):
1. July 15, 2022 (For the love of Michael!) – Golly tells Charlotte she needs to get a real job for their housing arrangement to work out. First appearance of the chibus vampirellum; only speaking role; present on last two panels.
2. July 26, 2022 (Will This Do?) – Moving in, and Giles has take away. Lurking in backpack on panel 2.
3. August 8, 2022 (No one’s favourite herbal tea) – Charlotte and Gram examine Dean Thompson’s pantry. Lurking on cabinets on panel 1.
4. November 18, 2022 (A raving beauty who’s ready for duty) – Charlotte is picking out a coat while Glyph has the PowerPunto at ready. Lurking among the coats on panel 1.
I almost left mini-chibi out of Solver 9 but rectified that today after this really excellent chibi-watch thread

Some people will roast Gloum’s lucky clicker but I’m going to take it as a sign of stability and decorum.
You have to admit that Lottie in that puffer looks amazing, but the doubt about what to wear was an invocation for chibi Lottie. Glenn seems to slowly reach the status of an elder brother for Lottie. I would love to see he meet Sarah

I can’t tell if “raving beauty who’s ready for duty” refers to the coat, or to Lottie herself.

If there are fashion police, it only follows that there must be a fashion prison. Of course, that also implies a whole fashion justice system with fashion DAs, fashion public defenders, fashion bailiffs…

If I recall, Lottie’s prison/halfway house jumpsuit back in Wicked Things Vol. 1 was pretty puffy and she even rocked those.
She looks like a 10 year old in that oversized thing, I thought people talking about Chibi Lottie meant herself.

Rarely sighted in England these days, the hooded butt swaddler is often found nesting on certain Scottish isles, but is most common in Scandinavian countries. While they prefer to catch live fish, they won’t say no to a dried kipper, or even lutefisk.

I work for an outdoor clothing retail chain and just automatically compare Lottie’s jackets to our products. This looks a lot like a “Phyllis” with the fur trim removed, though I don’t know if I’d call the Phyllis* ultra-technical.
*I feel like this sounds like I’m making it up but that is a genuine product nsne

Idea for a Patreon bonus: an occasional “Where are they now?” sketch of beloved-but-not-appearing-in-this-comic characters of yesteryear. Some of them could even be of people besides Desmond Fishman.
