For the love of Michael!
A dangerous new character is introduced today. Think of her as Chibi Vampirella’s Chibi Vampirella. Boxes within boxes. I can’t say that she will appear again but neither can I say that she won’t.

So, Glymm’s, what, 25? Did that come up before? It seems familiar somehow.
Lottie’s birthday’s in July, so she’ll have just (finally) turned 19 a couple months ago, in the gap between the Spring Special and the Autumn Special. That’d make Gloaming 23ish.
I was thinking “our average age exceeds 21, just”, meant their average age was 22, which would make Glymm 25. I don’t really see Lottie getting too exact with the calculation.
I was assuming “just” meant “by less than a year”.
AHA! CALLED IT

Well I’ll be damned.
Some get this guy a coke!
So she’s looking for a manager? Her Q? Alfred?
It’s interesting that they want people who work full-time. Theoretically, working less time at a job would mean more time for guarding the property.
Also, the agent is pretty snappy with the business card presentation.
Presumably they don’t want to hire a squatter preventer that will become a squatter themselves.
That POW is my favorite moment in this story so far.
Now, whether she will continue to not-complain after GETTING said job… no guarantees!
It depends upon how… jobby… the job is.
I see what you did there.
Congratulations.
But she has a halo! Surely that must mean she’s reached the level of sanctity where there’s no takey-backsies… Or maybe she’s just activated her butter-wouldn’t-melt-in-my-mouth mode and that’s just a side-effect.
Glenn is ok with Lottie using a fake ID but he’s recording her promise to find a job? That guy has to be desperate to find a house and the evil spirit that possess Lottie is taking advantage of the situation.
He’s just unlocking his car. Haha, and he is desperate.
It’s the ghost of Lottie’s sanity!
It’s the ghost of Lottie’s previous hairstyle!
The only ghost that doesn’t appall her!
Lottie’s hair is her conscience?
Honestly, I’m not surprise.
It does explain some things.
I’m not sure what I want more; Lottie to get a financially solvent job and livelihood or see her unmask Glenn as a robot drone for Jobby.
This will probably be the greatest false homemaking in the Bobbinsverse after Esther, Susan and Daisy had to scurry away like rats from their first would-be off campus home after a rent misunderstanding.
Ah yes, that was just hilarious! 😀
Lottie’s Devil *and* Angel are in the same spirit-form! I wonder if it alternates, or if the little sprite flips a coin to determine it’s demeanor?
All your characters are dangerous, each in their, or its, own way. This is why the Machinery is Bad and the Go-Round is Scary.
And why the bins bob.
Charlotte’s spirit advisor… is a puppet of herself. 🙂
What is the cardinality of “vampirella”? Is it singular with plurals of vampirellas or ??? Or is vampirella the plural and vampirellum the singular?
Vampirellae.
chibi vampirella-tachi for a japanese inflected plural, though good luck pronouncing vampirella
“Chibi vampirella” is plural, and the singular form is “chibus vampirellum.”
If Karen (who originally commissioned Glenn for Lottie) could see what’s happening right now she’d be… vindicated? confused? distressed? probably all at once.
You are not a mum I take it, are you Kevin?
Karen’s been Lottie’s mum for 19 years now. She’s got to be used to this sort of thing.
She’d be afraid that Lottie is going to teach Glemnmnm some things that would have stopped his wife throwing him out.
Afraid — and just a little proud.
I hope Lottie’s fake ID isn’t just her provisional detective license this time.
I used to make money renting empty buildings to soon to be squatters. I neither owned the buildings or had a managing agreement. I just got likely suckers, broke in before hand, took a “deposit” and skeedaddled.
You’re under arrest, sir.
Or should be. Renters are not known for their financial resources. As is well known, it’s more ethical to steal from the rich.
In the USA, if you have form ( like a Chibi murder rap ) you would never get to rent from any company. You would be tracked. And your credit score goes down barring you from any rentals.
Cue flood of comments asking for a five-book series pairing (Chibi Vampirella)**2 with Mordawwa.
And if we can’t get that, then it can be a back-up strip in the ongoing Robert Cop series.
