What ho!
Dean Thompson isn’t just a man of letters, he’s a man of combat, as we see here. Not an effective one, but spirited nontheless.

Now, now, Glem, insulation foam is quite the threat if powdered and inhaled.
So Dean might get some mileage out of threatening to make his opponent eat his cudgels?
Well you know John Wick killed 8 men with just a pencil and I’ve heard of people being killed by cold boiled rice. So no point in taking any chances.
Also I can hear Clint Eastwood saying “Put the insulated foam tube down punk. Put the insulated foam tube down”.
Amazing
No other comic makes me laugh on every page
Henceforth, will Lottie be known as “The Noisy One?”
Also, that is quite the seething look that Claire has in the last panel.
Didn’t someone call her that already? My brain is saying The Case of the Forked Road but I’m not sure.
Can’t wait for the Samurai Thompson vs. Doctor Doom limited series.
Let’s be honest. Facing samurai Thompson as he appears in the third panel would give anyone nightmares.
Right? He looks like a villain in a cheesy 80s martial arts movie or side scrolling arcade game like Final Fight or Streets Of Rage.
YES! Claire has not forgotten her studies! She just tries to carry everything forward. It seems incredible to me Lottie is so offended that she don’t invite them. She should know that Claire always find out… Her revenge will be epic!
Can’t recall, is this the first instance we are seeing of Glerp’s Nissan?
It looks kind of different than the first time we saw his car, but that may just be the lighting.
It’s always a Nissan Note, how well I draw it may be an issue from page to page.
Herge: now that was a man who could draw consistent cars and planes. Incredible accuracy! All of us who have tried a hand at adding vehicles to our art must appreciate his draftsmaship.
Couldn’t draw eyes though, could he? Just a dot! What a hack!!!
I AM JOKING
Oh, Glarm. So oblivious.
“I really can’t thtay…”
I wonder what makes Claire angrier. Knowing that Lottie didn’t invite them or seeing Glenn being sad face because Lottie didn’t invite them.
I wonder if Dean learned kendo from Corky.
Good representation of LED headlights, by the way.
I believe the same effect was used for the British Batmobile.
Dean should watch out–habitual use of phrases such as “What Ho!” can be the first sign of Woosterfication.
Only Dean Thompson can make insulating foam look menacing. Also love Claire’s murderous intent face in the last panel.
You’ve clearly never seen me with a boffer sword in my hands.
Dean Thompson should bring his insulating foam to the show- chunks of it for shoving into ears might become a desirable commodity!
Dean looks rather unhinged in panel 3.
I really don’t like to think about how Lottie (or Nero) got named “the Noisy One).
Err, yes.
Note that Glenn and Claire seemed to immediately know who he was talking about.
Are you suggesting that she takes after her sister in her night ways?
I personally can’t wait to see this show. If Lottie put it on it is sure to be pure entertainment at the very least.
The noisy one? Barry Wom??
You have spotted the reference, well done, £1.25 prize on its way to your account
I really like the way you draw the glare of the headlights using crosshatching.
Those insulating foam tubes are not weapons that should be taken…lightly. In the wrong hands they could be horrifying. You THINK they aren’t very sharp or pointy, but you would be WRONG. You haven’t witnessed carnage until you’ve seen a man get impaled, or worse, lopped into pieces by one of those demonic implements. Now I won’t get a wink of sleep tonight. Thanks a bunch.
I broke a guy’s nose with one one time.
Was it Claire who inspired Desmond Fishman’s political career? She’s a catalyst for many bad ideas, isn’t she. She’d make a good Satanist in Steeple.
Less inspired and more… enabled.
