Happy not to see “Where’s Charlotte? Oh my god, you ate her, didn’t you?!” in the list of scheduled comics. Also thankfully no “The flames! They’re everywhere!!”
Somehow, my mind did not go there when I wrote the comment. I was taking the cover image literally, but now that you mention other interpretations, it seems I made an unintended entendre.
Does anyone else see this cover in 3D? The red in Claire seems to stand out as foreground, while the Lottie and Glym inside are in the background. Seems to be an example of chromostereopsis.
Uh oh…
Well… at least there are no flames on the cover so that’s good.
Or maybe Claire’s ALL flames there.
Y’know, reading over the page titles for this issue, I can’t help wondering if it’s just the titles of the songs on D-Slide’s first album.
I’d listen to a song called SKRAAAAAAA.
“The Standard Was High” feels a touch more Brian Eno than K-pop.
tbf, so does “Boyhole.” Like either a lost B-side of “The Fat Lady of Limbourg” or something done with Harold Budd
TFW you have a Grote in your throat.
Well, that’s not at all ominous.
It is encouraging that there’s a page is called “No harm done”.
I HATE THAT I CANNOT EDIT OR DELETE COMMENTS! PLEASE IGNORE THE EXTRA “IS”.
Take it easy. We’ve all been there.
Some of us *live* there.
Geez, that’s creepy.
I just can’t wait for this story to take the upcoming Shakespearean turn. What ho!
But is it a comedy or a tragedy?
“Or”?
All the women are going to be portrayed by young boys?

Poor Claire is reaching her limit. I really hope Glenn will help her, because Lottie is still distracted.
There is clearly a hole within Claire, which only Gall can fill.
I know it’s very bad to say. But you have no idea about the amount of dirty jokes your comment brought to my mind.

An unintendre, to coin a neologism. Maybe it’ll catch on!
Now this is a trippy cover. It looks very reminiscent of Guido Crepax’s artwork except without all gratuitous nudity course.
*of course
Gratuitous nudity courses were not offered at any educational institution I attended.
You’re lucky you went to school when there was a chance that gratuitous nudity courses would be offered.
No. There was no chance of that whatsoever.
Given that I went to Jesuit high school, I believe that that was a Good Thing.
Jesuit High REPRESENT

I was the result of a Xaverian Brothers high school, myself.
I think they usually call it “Life Drawing”.
The gratuitous nudity course is the one they open at the mini-golf place after 10 pm.
Well struck, old boy!
Ah, it is big claire edition. Very good.
It’s nice to see that Lottie and Glorm are able to mend fences by piloting their giant Claire mech together.
GO, Claire Robot!!!
Is it “Clairbot” or “RoboClaire”?
Such a great cover !
Lottie and Claire have come a long way from the geography teacher pyramid scheme (which just happens to be today’s Bad Machinery post on GoComics: https://www.gocomics.com/bad-machinery/2023/02/17?ct=v&cti=2110908
I love this cover — superb!
Eeeewww. Like, that’s not creepy at all. (Accompanied by ominous discordant music in the background.)

I wish I could see this! Blues have to be a lot bluer than the background for me to start to see aberrations like that.
