Claire is slowly getting more tired, carrying that weight on her back, until the last panel, where she has some relief at ridding herself of it. Not that this should be taken as a metaphor or anything.
When my ex moved on, it was the saddest few hours I can remember. I still think about that first evening alone, and how exhilarating having the whole mattress to myself felt.

Okay, now I’m confused. The comic mentions Broomhill and Bole Hill, the comment mentions Broomhill and Woodseats. And Google Maps tells me Woodseats (SK347833) and Bole Hill (actually “Bolehill Recreation Ground, known locally as The Bole Hills”) are about 5 km apart, with Broomhill (SK333869) more or less in between the two. Is Lottie quantum mechanical and located in two places at once?
I wouldn’t put it past her.

Ok, but I’ve been reading your comics since 2005 when I lived in small town Kansas, USA. Life has brought me circuitously to be living currently in Sheffield. And I can not tell you how pleased I am to understand the references. Catch you in the paternoster 😉
